Ashley Marie // 13

On May 9th, my not-so-little-any-more sister, Ashley officially turned 13. She was our mom's Mother's Day present as she was born on Mother's Day, 13 years ago. One unique thing about Ashley is she just loves all needlework! She taught herself to knit using an encyclopedia and some chop-sticks and since then has made some wonderful things! She also loves math, and is speeding through her algebra! She and I have had many fun, memorable times together and I just can't believe she is 13! Wow! Here are her birthday pictures! Enjoy!

Courtney Elizabeth

Our Corky is getting so big! Literally! She is growing like a weed and has almost passed Tommy up in height! She now wears a lady's size 10 shoe and is just as tall of Ashley....goodness! So I thought since Easters coming, she just got a new dress, and I'd love to shoot some photos, why not take some pictures of her before she gets any taller? Hope you like them! Have a blessed Easter! ~Bethany

My favorite!

She looks SO much like Daddy in this one!

Azalea Belles 2012 :: Opening Ceremony

This morning was the Azalea Spring & Flower Trail opening ceremony/ribbon cutting to officially start the Tyler Trail! I'm very excited about being an Azalea Belle, along with 29 other girls, this year. You can my photos/video from being a Belle last year by clicking HERE! {Scroll down past the first two posts to see all of last years posts related to Belles}

The ceremony was at the same home as last year and we were blessed by LOVELY weather! It also wasn't raining pollen as it was last year. :D I had lots of fun and starting tomorrow I've got a shift every Saturday...so more photos of that to come! Enjoy the photos!

As you will see, I've decided to wear the same dress this year, mainly due to the fact that I don't easily fit in dresses, since they are difficult to zip up. Sorry, it's just the way God made me. :D But this two-piece that I wore last year seemed to be easy to get on and off, and I really liked it. So I will be wearing the same dress for the Azalea Trail this year.

I'm really looking forward to being a Azalea Belle this year! It's always so much fun to be out in the wonderful weather, surrounded by azaleas and other spring flowers and dressing up is always a bonus as well! :D {For those who would like to learn more about the Azalea Trail, go check out there website HERE!} Now I'm off to set the T.V. to record the evening news as there was lots of press at the ceremony and I just might be on the news! :D} Have a blessed day! P.S. The local news station, KLTV took a bunch of Azalea Trail photos, check them out HERE! {I'm in one or two of them with two other friends! :D}

Puppy Photos

Yesterday, the 17th our dog Kiely had her puppies! She had 4 total-3 girls and 1 boy {I really wanted 4 girls so we could name them after "The Little Women" but it didn't work out...Tommy's really happy for a boy though! :D} Two of the girls are chocolate brown, one girl is brown and white and the boy is black and white. Here are some pictures along with their names, let me know what you think!

The Line-Up :D

Everybody: Meet Fudge! {She is puppy #3 but is by far the smallest of them all}

This is Brownie! She was puppy # 2

This is puppy # 1. Once we first laid eyes on her everyone agreed that her name is Cookies N' Cream :D

This is the only boy, puppy # 4: Oreo!
So what do you think of their names? Cute, huh? {come to think of it....how in the world did we get all food names? Must have been hungry...;D}
Blessings!

Family Vacation 2011 {Part 3}

Okay, we just got back from our final part of our vacation and I've got lots of pictures to share!

This time we were gone for a whole week! On day one we went to G. G.'s to spend the night with her, to help break up the long hours of driving instead of driving all day. Plus we really wanted to see her since we didn't get the spend much time with her on the first part of our vacation. We had lots of fun!

The top of the ceiling at the Capitol!
Day two we went to Austin and to the Capitol building. It was super neat!

Senate roster

I was actually surprised to see this in the Capitol building, but was glad and hope it stays that way!

A life sized picture of the Alamo battle {more pictures on that in a minute!}

This picture is of a lady named Joanna who sewed  one of the American flags.

This is actually the door hinge!

Day three we went on over to a San Antonio were we stayed for the rest of the trip. That particular day we went to the River Walk {were our parents went for their honeymoon 22 years ago!} and were able to eat at the same restaurant they ate at 22 years ago! It was really sweet.

The Mexican restaurant: Casa Rio {I have NO clue what that means, but the food was good! :D}

We were able to sit right under a bride on the River Walk and these ducks came up out of the water and we were able to feed them! :D

Yum!

We went to the River Walk at night and the Christmas lights were still up so we got to see all the pretty lights!

The hotel we stayed in at San Antonio. This one had 6 stories-the largest we have ever stayed in. But by the River Walk there were hotels EVERYWHERE! Most of them had 500 rooms or more! So it looked tiny to us!

While we were there we went on a boat ride through the River and this is a neat photo I got before going over a bridge! {Riding was easier and funner than walking, especially with the crowd! We felt like we were in NY! :D But literally we waited 30 minutes in order to then be seated. THEN we ordered. THEN we waited and then we were able to eat! LOTS OF PEOPLE!!!}
 The next day we went to the Alamo, which is within walking distance of the River Walk, but we didn't go the night before because they closed at 5:30. Although they didn't allow photos inside we got a lot of neat ones outside in the "back yard" and the garden!

This is the backyard of the Alamo, although its not attached to the actual Alamo building

There were HUGE cactus!

A bell on the gift shop building.

Flower in the garden

Only after taking this photo did I realize that Robby took his shoes off. :D There is Robby for you!

Mom taking a rest

There was a small body of water and there were HUGE goldfish swimming around! {It's no surprise though, since they say everything is bigger in Texas. ;D}

The Alamo

This is what the boat we rode in looked like.
Then after seeing the Alamo we walked over to the Children's Museum and played there. BTW, the River Walk is almost like a mini New York city, you basically walk everywhere since everything is so close.

Robby enjoyed the play air plane that he got to "fly" at the museum

Corky & Abby loved the "Victorian Tea Room"

Mom and Dad in the trolley. :D

They had a neat thing were you were able to  be inside a bubble! Abby loved it!

A monument at the Alamo

While in Austin there was a super old church, and we got a group picture in front of it.

A really sweet statue at the Capitol

In the Alamo garden

After this we loaded up the car and took the 6 hour trip home. On the way back we had some "excitement" when a certain individual forgot to get the keys out of the car BEFORE locking the door......this happened about 2 hours away from the house when we planned to stop at Dairy Queen for a blizzard. However, thankfully the insurance sent someone to kelp us out and we were back on the road before finishing our ice cream. :D

We had a lot of fun on this trip, and we had more fun than we have ever had on a vacation! Hope you liked our photos!
