Azalea Belles 2012 :: Opening Ceremony

This morning was the Azalea Spring & Flower Trail opening ceremony/ribbon cutting to officially start the Tyler Trail! I'm very excited about being an Azalea Belle, along with 29 other girls, this year. The ceremony was at the same home as last year and we were blessed by LOVELY weather! It also wasn't raining pollen as it was last year. :D I had lots of fun and starting tomorrow I've got a shift every Saturday...so more photos of that to come! Enjoy the photos!

As you will see, I've decided to wear the same dress this year, mainly due to the fact that I don't easily fit in dresses, since they are difficult to zip up. Sorry, it's just the way God made me. :D But this two-piece that I wore last year seemed to be easy to get on and off, and I really liked it. So I will be wearing the same dress for the Azalea Trail this year. 

I'm really looking forward to being a Azalea Belle this year! It's always so much fun to be out in the wonderful weather, surrounded by azaleas and other spring flowers and dressing up is always a bonus as well! :D {For those who would like to learn more about the Azalea Trail, go check out there website HERE!} Now I'm off to set the T.V. to record the evening news as there was lots of press at the ceremony and I just might be on the news! :D} Have a blessed day! Rose Belles

This past weekend Ashley and I were able to be Rose Belles! For those that remember Azalea Belles last spring, this i very similar except it was a one day event were we greeted visitors to the Goodman Museum here for the Rose Festival. It was a lot of fun working at the 150 year old museum and greeting visitors! Enjoy our pictures! ~Bethany

Azalea Belles Week 3

Saturday and Sunday were my last days as an Azalea Belle...it was such a fun experience! I believe it has strengthen my self-confidence and although it pushed me a bit (with my being so shy) it was good for me and I defiantly have benefited from serving Tyler...what a great feeling! Azalea Belle's Week 2 Pictures & Videos!

Hello friends & family!

This past weekend was week 2 of the Azalea Trail and I had a lot of fun and an unexpected surprise! (More details later!) I worked both Saturday and Sunday this week and below are pictures of the ladies I worked with.

Below is a video clip that was played on the 7 PM news (yes, on TV!) the night of the opening ceremony for the Azalea trail. If you look closely I am posing for a picture in the background of the first lady interview in a green shirt. Tommy & my Gram are to the right of the screen and Courtney (in the red shirt) and Ashley (in the blue shirt) are to the left of the screen. Everyone was excited that they were on TV.

Okay, and now the big surprise: I was on TV! On Sunday while we were on our shift the KLTV news lady showed up with her camera and ashed if she could film us for a while. She ended up asking me if I would mind being interviewed and I said yes! It was very exciting and I was very nervous, but I think it all when pretty well! Below is the clip that was played on the 10 P.M. news on Sunday night.

Azalea Belle's Week 1...

Hello!

Today was my first shift for Belles and I had a blast greeting visitors, answering questions, taking pictures with tourist, etc. I was able to work with Chloe R. who was very sweet and I really enjoyed the shift! (I really enjoyed working with you Chloe! :D)

Azalea Trail Ribbon Cutting Ceremony...

Hello all! This morning was the Azalea Trial's opening ceremony and we all had a blast! The backyard were the ceremony took place was BEAUTIFUL and we had lots of fun! Enjoy the pictures!

More Azalea Belle Pictures...

     This past Saturday we went to the Tyler Rose Garden and got some pictures of our dresses! (Although Ashley will not be able to be a Belle this year because of her age, we had a friend that gave us her daughters old Belle dress and it fitted Ashley perfect so we decided to add her to our pictures! :D) We really enjoyed the scenery and I think the pictures turned out really nice!

      This upcoming Friday is the opening ceremony to officially "start" the Azalea Trail and I will be working Saturday from 2-6 at a older historic home. I still haven't gotten the rest of the schedule yet, but once I do all you family members and friends from Tyler please contact us and we will let you know where I will be working and at what time so you can come by and see me.
